The New Adventure

Hi guys! I haven't posted in a while now, and I apologize. But I'm happy to be back on this blog to talk about a few things. [:

My college life has been going on for a little while now, and I am happy to say that I have adjusted to this new life. My dorm is my home now and I see my friends literally everyday. Everything is new and exciting. Although sometimes I do feel scared for becoming an adult so fast.

Becoming a college student has been absolutely insane. I love my new friends and I love my campus. I love the stars at night and the endless rows of roses. But I miss church on Sundays and I miss my Christian buddies that I grew up with. Even though I miss certain aspects of being a high school christian, this is my new adventure.

I can use this new college life to become a better person. It's up to me to decide how much I want to grow closer to God and I sure hope that I can keep loving Him. Even if I forget to love, He will always love me.

Trusting God

Hello!

Being sick for over two weeks, missing school for a couple days, and missing church for a couple of weeks was definitely not something I wanted.

Trusting that God will heal me, and trusting that my sickness is here for a reason is something that I am starting to learn.

I have learned the value of health, but I also feel more connected to God. Having a lot of days to reflect on myself, and having a lot of days to have a one on one conversation with God was really needed.

I really miss church, and I miss my church family, but I really believe that everything happens for a reason. I guess God wanted me to rest and God really wanted me to reconnect with Him!

Finals!

Hey guys!

It's going to be finals week pretty soon, and my last college apps are due pretty soon as well. So this month is pretty crazy for me, and I'm also assuming it is going to be pretty hectic for you all as well.

I hope that you all will be able to have a busy but not overwhelming month, and I wish you all the very best in everything that you do!

God will always be with us through everything that we do.

Being Busy

Hey guys! I don't know about you guys, but this month will be extra busy for me! I can't believe that it's October already...so crazy!! Anyways today, I had a rough day and I realized that the more I got overwhelmed, the more I started to feel like I can't handle things anymore. Then I started to listen to Lord, I need you by Matt Maher (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuvfMDhTyMA), and I immediately started to feel better.

I suddenly became aware of the beautiful trees, the cool breeze, and the wonderful fact that God is here for me. It was an amazing feeling. The fact that I decided to listen to this one song impacted me so much today, and it's just so amazing what God can do.

I encourage you all to trust in God, and whenever you feel sad, He will always be there for you. He will never leave you, and you are never alone.

Loving Others

Hello! :D

I don't know about you guys, but I have been having a crazy week so far, and I do feel a bit overwhelmed with everything. It's going to be really hard for me but I want to try and have a positive attitude towards everything, and I encourage you all to try to make the best out of everything as well.

Today, I wanted to talk about loving others. I know that loving others can be really difficult at times. For example, I am not getting along with a certain staff member from my school, but I really want to love that person. Even though we don't get along, I want to choose to believe that everybody has some good in them, and I want to be that person who cares for others no matter what. I think that loving others has gotten easier for me throughout the years because I have learned to be happier, and I have learned to see the beauty in all people.

It's perfectly normal to not like someone at times, but I know that loving others will help spread the love that God gives us everyday.

Are you thankful?

Hello! I hope you all are doing really well. :D

Today, I wanted to talk about gratitude! I feel that often we seem to get so caught up with so many problems, and negativeness, that we forget about how blessed we are in our lives.

Yesterday, my best friend's class had to write a gratitude letter to anyone they feel thankful for, and she wrote to me. I thought it was really rather sweet, and I was almost in tears! haha. I just want to tell you all that a simple note of thank you meant so so so much to me. I think that telling someone that you are thankful for them really makes a difference in how that person will emotionally be throughout the day. So, when I received that letter from my friend, I decided to message a word of encouragement to a couple people online! It made me feel better, and it made them feel happier in general.

So I encourage you all to have gratitude this week! You don't have to message people or tell them that you are thankful for them if you don't feel comfortable, but I encourage you to make a list of things you are thankful for. :D

My Gratitude List (9/10/13):
I'm thankful for...
1. my lovely friends that make me happy all the time.
2. the delicious lunch that my mom made for me today.
3. having the opportunity to receive education and having the chance to make a positive impact to other people in the future because of my education.

There is only one of you in the entire universe

Hi there! I hope that you are all doing well, especially with the routine of school back in our lives. Today, I wanted to address the topic of love.

Although it's important to talk about loving others, I wanted to focus on loving yourself. I think this is difficult for a lot of people because we always tend to pull out our flaws and our failures.

God loves us no matter what, and he thinks that we are all beautiful, and we should learn to see the beauty in ourselves. I believe that we are all beautiful, and no one should ever feel ugly, or unworthy. There was a period of my life when I felt completely worthless, and it's honestly one of the worst feelings you will ever feel. Now that I know that I'm not worthless, I want other people to know that too. I truly believe that everybody is here for a reason, and everybody who thinks they're worthless, deserves a huuuuuuuge hug. It's hard to love yourself, but it's not impossible, because all things are possible in God's hands.

Youth Group Kick-Off!

Hi everybody! Today was the youth group kick-off! I had an amazing time during the kick-off, and I hope everybody else had a great time as well! (:

Here's a collage of the cakes we made during the kick-off:

Anyways, some of us have started school already, and some of us are starting real soon. As we go back into the routine of having school in our lives, I hope that we can all remember to praise and reach out to God. All of us will go through some struggles during the school year, but I know for certain that God will always be there for us and He has great plans for all of us! (:
