Being Happy! :D

Hey guys! Today, I wanted to talk about being happy. [:

A lot of times, being happy is a hard thing to do. But, I think that is nice to have a positive outlook on life, and I just wanted to share with you all on what I do to be happier! :D

1. I rarely listen to really sad songs when I am in a bad mood. I feel like listening to sad songs kind of make you sadder, when you are a bit under the weather. I tend to listen to motivational or inspirational songs when I feel sad or mad.

2. I keep a happy notebook. I have a little notebook called my "happy notebook", where I keep basically anything that makes me happy. I write down my favorite quotes, bible verses, my favorite poems, happy events, or compliments. I look at the notebook whenever I feel like it, and it just makes me feel really good inside. :D

One thing I wrote down: "The next time you find yourself alone in a dark alley facing the undeniables of life, don't cover them with a blanket, or ignore them with a nervous grin. Don't turn up the TV and pretend they aren't there. Instead stand still, whisper His name, and listen. He is nearer than you think." - Max Lucado

3. Receive compliments. This means that when you are given a compliment, believe that they really mean it, and say "thank you!" Don't push the compliments away, and say "No, that's not true." If you receive a compliment, I am sure that they honestly mean it, and you should just treasure those compliments.

4. Be Happy with yourself. This is the most difficult thing to do, in my opinion. But, I think that it is incredibly important to love yourself, because you are God's creation. He is proud of you. So next time you look into the mirror, don't say "I look like a mess." or "What is wrong with my hair today?" Start out your day feeling good about yourself, and give yourself little compliments. It's OKAY to compliment yourself. It's OKAY to feel confident.

5. Interact with people! I'm a bit introverted, so I am not super social or anything, but I think it's important to have positive relationships with people, and spread God's love. Just simply saying "Hi. How are you?" to someone makes a difference.

That's all for now! Have a lovely rest of the day.

With much love,

Hitomi
